Job Title: General Volunteer Inc. First aider
Location: Nairnshire or Moray
Reports to: Head Coach
Hours of work: To be agreed, however expected to attend all practices and games (home and away)
Summary of Position: To attend to the general needs of the coaches and players during practices and games.
Ensure that water is available to players as required.
To take and maintain the register, including recording player absences.
To administer the appropriate first aid to players as required whilst following the club’s injury policies.
To ensure that any messages or requested are passed to the appropriate person or noted in the appropriate place.
Uphold the ethics of the club and sport of American Football.
Follow the club’s policies and procedures at all time.
Report any concerns to the relevant person.
Anything else that ensure the smooth running of the club.
Must have current PVG for children – If you do not have one the Dragons will carry one out for you.
Would ideally hold NQF Level 3 or higher in first aid or equivalent qualifications, first aid at work or higher, or a willingness to attend the relevant course.
A knowledge of American football is desirable however not essential.
A willingness to undertake relevant training as required.
Child Protection knowledge is desirable.
Must be able to communicate effectively with players, parents, Coaches and other staff members from both in and outside of the organization.
Please note that this is a voluntary role not a paid position however travel expenses may be paid as and when the clubs budgets allow.
Even though we set no minimum age you will be expected to work on your own and using your own initiative.
We can support post holders to gain qualifications for example Saltire awards, Duke of Edinburgh award.
